Fighting Rest

Updated: May 5, 2019

Okay, this will be short and sweet.

PSA! Just b/c you’re not fighting doesn’t in anyway diminish your value!! Let me explain…when I was child I fought. I fought for myself and everyone else. I fought my sister’s bullies (although SHE was bigger than ME!); I fought the neighborhood kids’ bullies, and I fought my own bullies. I was fighting from childhood through high school…thank The Most High I’ve been delivered! Hallelu!

In adulthood, I feel like I’ve transitioned from physical fighting to mental and emotional fighting. Have you ever been in a place in life where things were actually pretty good, but you just needed to find the “wrong” in it? We all have at one point or another. Sometimes it happens without us even realizing it because we are so used to the fight that becomes difficult to remain in the present long enough to actually enjoy it. We become so familiar with defense that we literally fight the good thing! To be honest, I have many times not even felt validated if I didn’t have something I was fighting against. As if the word of The Most High didn’t say “I came that you would have life more abundantly.”

Know that there are seasons of rest and you don’t have to fight though that season. You can actually glorify Yahweh by enjoying the season that has been given to you – your period of rest. Fighting doesn’t validate you anymore than having the courage to put your fists down (literally and figuratively).

Just something to think about.

Be Blessed,

Britt

“Elohim, God of Abraham, I thank you for allowing me to have this platform. I thank you for keeping my mind and heart that you would be glorified through these bodies of work on this platform. Lord I thank you for every soul this post reaches. I pray that you would give them ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart to receive all that your Holy Spirit gives. I pray hat you would provide comfort in rest for each of my sisters and brothers. Provide the courage and strength to rest in you during their resting season and the ability to enjoy the “good thing” you have brought forth in their lives. Lord I thank you in advance for answering this prayer. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray.

Amen.”
